Wall Clock (3D Hardsurface Modeling)

This 3D wall clock was created as part of a hard surface modeling project using Autodesk Maya. The goal was to design a realistic, high-poly wall-mounted timepiece with clean geometry and attention to detail, showcasing the principles of mechanical structure and surface continuity.

Modeling Process:

Base Shape Creation: The clock body was blocked out using basic polygon primitives (cylinders and cubes), then refined using extrusions, bevels, and edge loops to maintain clean topology.

Detailing: Key components like the hour, minute, and second hands, screws, rim, clock glass, and inner dials were modeled separately to allow better control and realism.

Hard Surface Techniques: Smooth shading, crease edges, and support loops were applied to ensure the model retains its shape when subdivided, reflecting accurate hard surface practices.

Hierarchy & Naming: A clean outliner with grouped and labeled elements was maintained for a non-destructive workflow.
